Winemaking and aging

The Blue Zweigelt is an indigenous grape variety of Austria and enjoys great popularity due to its complex taste and adaptability.

During winemaking, the grapes of the Blue Zweigelt are meticulously harvested by hand at the optimal time of ripeness. This is followed by gentle processing of the grapes to preserve their quality and integrity.

After fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to soften its acidity, accentuate the primary fruit flavors and gently extract the tannins.

As a result, the wine acquires a softer texture.

Zweigelt Pure Classic byHeinrich is first aged in steel tanks and then it matures for a certain time in wood.

Aging in small wooden barrels allows the wine to develop additional complexity and structure while preserving fruitiness and aromas.

To get the most out of this wine, serve it slightly chilled. Place the bottle in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to reach a temperature of about 16-18°C.
